Since 1936, Alaska State Fair has been bringing us exciting rides, fair games and shows, but the Alaska State fair offers so much more. Record-setting giant vegetables, beautiful flower gardens, concerts, plus Alaskan and Alaska Native culture, not to mention a large assortment of fresh vegetables from local gardeners from around the state, tasty wine and beer spirits from local breweries, fair food, local venders, to beautiful bunnies, pigs and hens!

Event: Friends Of Pets – Dog Jog
Location: Service High School

9am – Heartwarming blessing of the animals.
10am – The walk or jog begins.
11am – Visit vendor booths and various contest throughout the day.

Information: Dog Jog is the annual canine carnival to help pets in need! Friends of Pets presents the Dog Jog each July to raise funds for our programs and to celebrate the bond between people and pets! Choose the 5K run or the 1-mile stroll, enjoy the Family Fair, and join in the games and contests! Collect pledges to support FOP and stretch your paws for the cause!
